These will be beautiful with nicely marked foliage and large flowers with long petals that will be dark in color. The one parent, Paph. Morganiae 'Bufordense' is very old clone of a hybrid between Paph. stonei var platytaenium and Paph. superbiens that was made back in 1880 by the Veitch nusery. The variety of stonei that he used was known for its very broad petals. The picture shows the first seedling that bloomed from this cross, showing the broad petals from it's stonei var platytaenium grandparent.
