Description
We have crossed one of our Harlequin type Phal's with a large standard white. The Harlequin parent gets irregular spots on the petals and has a white background. What is unusual about this parent is that it can get over 40 flowers per flower spike and can be in constant bloom for us (Before the old cane is done blooming it will send out a new flower spike). By crossing it onto a large standard white, we are hoping to improve the shape and size of the flowers, and hopefully maintain the number of flowers per flower spike. Probably half of the seedlings will have inherited the "Harlequin" type flowers with irregular dark red to purple spots on the petals. The picture shows the two parents. The close-up image shows the one parent: Dtps. Brother Vanessa Hannay 'Winter Carnival'. We are currently selling two different sized plants (based on leaf span). The smaller plants will come in 2.25" pots, while the larger plants will come in 3.25" pots.
