This hybrid is known for its heavy red spotting. The photo shows a previous batch; the current batch may have slightly larger spots, adding even more saturation. All double-spike plants!

This is part of our spike-initiated series, which is a way to save costs on the plant price and the shipping. These come in the Taiwan soft production pots with a single drain hole on the bottom, which are typically dropped into a sturdy ceramic container for display. You have the choice to up-pot it by adding more moss or bark around the root system (we recommend about a 5.5 to 6-inch pot), or leave it as-is and drop it into an appropriate container.

Spike initiated as of early January, and plants are estimated to have developed spikes with buds by early to mid-March.

*Note that Taiwan production Phals are grown in tight spaces, with foliage sometimes flopping over. We re-train them with clear tape. If you receive a plant with clear tape, you may remove it after 2 weeks, and the foliage will then stay in place.
