Description
Native to Northwest Sumatra and often found in Mangrove swamps. This is a section Polychilos clone, so the flowers will be consistent with the photo example. Phal. tetraspsis is one of the most variable species of Phalaenopsis, with several different patterns and color forms.
Polychilos Phalaenopsis are prized for their waxy foliage, star-shaped blooms, and delightful fragrance. These orchids are reliable re-bloomers, often flowering season after season on the same spikes. The spikes will typically regenerate from their tips before the next bloom cycle. We only remove them if they turn pale yellow or if the plant is not growing well and needs recovery time.
Note that temperature can effect the color patterns and sometimes the results can be pure white!
We expect this batch to flower late January to early February.
