Description
Phalaenopsis venosa is a section Polychilos orchid species native to Sulawesi, Indonesia, known for its small, waxy, yellow-bronze flowers. It grows as an epiphyte in warm, humid forests and prefers low to medium light. This section is prized for its waxy foliage, star-shaped blooms, and delightful fragrance. These orchids are reliable re-bloomers, often flowering season after season on the same spikes. The spikes will typically regenerate from their tips before the next bloom cycle.
You do not need to remove the flower spike after the blooms finish, as they can regenerate the next season. We only recommend removing the flower spikes if they turn pale yellow or if the plant is not making growth progress.
*Current plants listed in spike are in mid-development as of January 4th, and we expect them to flower in February.
