A larger, rare form of Sedirea japonica—similar to 'Minimaru,' but with significantly larger foliage! These are individual listings for two plants, each pre-moss-mounded in one of our 3D-printed pots.
Sedirea japonica, known as 'Nagoran' in Japan, is native to Japan, the Ryukyu Islands, Korea, and western Yunnan and Zhejiang provinces of China in subtropical forests. The flowers are well-known for their strong citrus scent. This plant prefers cool to intermediate temperatures with lots of air flow in a potting mix that breathes well. We have luck in sphagnum moss, but be sure not to over-saturate the moss with water, or it can be susceptible to rot.
Technically, the taxonomists have renamed this 'Phalaenopsis japonica'. But the structure and culture of this plant are so different that we prefer to call it Sedirea.
