This is a new exciting long-petaled Phragmipedium cross. We backcrossed Phrag. Stairway to Heaven to one of its parents Phrag. popowii (now known as Phrag. humboldtii for registration purposes). The flowers are similar to Stairway to Heaven but can vary in color. Pictured is one more similar to the popowii species, but some have more yellow in the petals. This cross is much easier to grow than other long petaled hybrids we have made due to hybrid vigor. These will have petals with a 28 to 32 inch length and some will even hit 36 inches in length once the plants have 2-3 growths.

Please note, it is normal for these plants to exhibit light wrinkling in the leaf epidermis. This is a universal genetic trait among this hybrid.
