Description
Native to Peru, this species blooms with large, 10" to 12" tall golden flowers decorated in maroon spots. These flowers tend to have a synsepal that has tails that do not cross. The tails on this species are held at a more vertical stance as compared to Masd. princeps. The flower spikes can produce flowers for a long period of time in succession, so long as they are green. Easy to grow as it is a species of Masdevallia that tolerates warmer temperatures. Water as the moss approaches dryness.
