This species, native to Costa Rica, Panama and Peru, grows in cloud forests as an epiphyte or as a terrestrial. This orchid blooms at any time of the year with a single successive flower that emerges from the leaf. Grow in semi-shaded conditions, as the leaves will develop black spots in bright direct sunlight. Water regularly as the media becomes lightly damp to the touch. Divisions of a select clone.
