Native to Ecuador and Peru, this species blooms with orange and cinnamon-scented flowers that are approximately 2.5 inches across. The flowers last about three to five days, but mature plants often send out multiple spikes at a time. Tolerant of a wide range of temperatures, this species is relatively easy to grow. It is also naturally deciduous, so the oldest bulbs drop their leaves in time.
