Renanthera imschootiana

These are seedlings that should reach flowering size by 2015/2016. A very fine smaller growing species from India. These plants can start flowering when only six inches tall. Beautiful, large flaming red flowers with a hint of orange in the background. the long lasting the flowers can hang on for 2-3 months. The sprays can be larger than the plant and branch. This plants is tolerant of a wide reange of temps and in its habitat it can get quite cool at night in the dry season (winter).
