Bulbophyllum (affine x echinolabium)

A first-time offering of this primary cross between the classic large-flowered echinolabium and the floriferous, unifoliate-blooming affine. While we have not yet seen the flowers on this particular hybrid, we expect them to somewhat resemble Bulbophyllum Jersey. The foliage, however, is strongly influenced by affine, displaying longer, more pendulous leaves with a softer, floppier habit.

Plants available are strong 3-growth bare-root divisions. They grow well either mounted on cork slabs or potted in shallow bulb pans using sphagnum moss or a fine bark mix. And yes, these will smell... bad.
