Description
A middle-sized Bulbophyllum species from India, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Thailand at elevations between 900m and 1500m. The flowers have attractive green and red patterning, and exhibit a smell reminiscent of green melon. Our available divisions of this particular species are from an old division of the original, first AOS-awarded Bulb. picturatum, awarded back in 1973 as Cirrhopetalum picturatum 'Minnetonka'. The Certificate of Botanical Merit (CBM) recognizes well-grown plants of
uncommon species which, by virtue of possessing one or more outstanding characteristics, represent a worthy new concept of horticultural desirability.
