This exceptional sib-cross comes from two of our darkest flowering plants, with both parents originating from the renowned Eric Young Orchid Foundation. These orchids produce tall, impressive flower spikes carrying numerous blooms, making for a spectacular display when in flower.
Please Note: This orchid is deciduous and naturally loses its leaves around the time it begins to bloom. The foliage will gradually turn pale yellow and drop, leaving only the pseudobulbs. Following the flowering season, fresh new growths will emerge from the bulbs.
The majority of seedlings from this cross have matured into rich, dark red to magenta-flowered plants. However, a small percentage have developed into attractive semi-alba forms, featuring white petals paired with a white lip flushed with pink to magenta tones.
