This is a nice, compact hybrid with green, waxy petals accented by burgundy spots along the edges and a contrasting pink-and-white lip. This batch was Oryzaline-treated, which refers to the chemical treatment of the protocorms in the laboratory. The goal is to convert these already massive flower plants into tetraploids to create wider petals and thicker substance. While treatment is not a guarantee, we have found the conversion to be highly successful.
The current plants were just repotted into 4.5" pots with New Zealand sphagnum moss, but they can also be grown in bark or mounted!
