Cattleya lueddemanniana (4N)

Excellent potential here as these are tetraploids (4N). This beautiful species has a fine fragrance, and with it being a tetraploid, we expect larger, thicker, and more fragrant flowers. The photo is of a really good standard form. The leaves are very thick on these plants. With more and more species being converted to tetraploids, it will be possible to recreate some of the spectacular early primary hybrids, but with a difference. The tetraploid hybrids will have far better flowers with greater substance and size. Limited availability.
