Registered by Sanders' Orchids in 1911, we remade this historic primary hybrid as part of our ongoing effort to recreate many of the classic Cattleya hybrids from the golden era of orchid breeding. This hybrid has also been registered under the name Dunkerkii, though that registration came later in 1917, making Purpurato-Rex the original registered name.
This listing is for an individual plant in an 8" pot with sphagnum moss. As of 5/19/26, the plant has one sheath and another growth carrying a single bud.
The final plant photo shows the actual plant you will receive. Flower color may vary slightly from the example photo, though blooming has been fairly consistent overall.
