Cattleya trianaei (4N)
('Superfly' x 'Spectacular')
A cross between two offspring from a selfing of the famous tetraploid 'Cashen's' FCC/AOS clone. The resulting parents, 'Superfly' and 'Spectacular', have surpassed the 'Cashen's' clone with their size, shape, and much deeper color. These are truly magnificent when in flower. We have seen just a few flower out, and they are superb. These typically flower in December around the holiday period. Cattleya trianaei flowers are the longest lasting of any of the species Cattleyas, and these, being tetraploids, will last for 6-8 weeks. We have been growing these from seed since 2014.
