Description
Divisions of the finest of the Sangre de Toro type with deep, almost red-tinted magenta flowers. This particular clone has very compact leaves and stout fat pseudobulbs. This clone also happens to flower in late November to December, which is just a bit earlier than is typical of C. trianaei. This spectacular winter-blooming species is native to Colombia and has the longest lasting flowers of any Cattleya, often lasting 4 to 6+ weeks. The flowers have a crystalline look to them and sparkle in the light. We often list these as being in spike when they are sheathing in late October through early December as it is far better to ship these with the buds down in the sheath. These typically flower around the Christmas season.
