Cattleya trianaei Sangre de Toro 'Hernando Garcia'

The dark flower form of this species, which tends to have a more compact growing habit than other trianaei.

This variety flowers November to December, which is just a bit earlier than is typical of C. trianaei. This spectacular winter-blooming species is native to Colombia and has flowers that can last 4+ weeks, which is slightly longer than many of the other species.

C. trianaei will form flower sheaths in the summer, and will flower in the fall/winter months.
