Description
This is a select clone from Japan. This plant has very large full petals. These plants typically flower in December but sometimes can flower slightly earlier or later. When listed on the in spike list these could flower anywhere from late November to late December.
Cattleya trianaei was used for cut flowers as they were in great demand for corsages during the Holiday season. The flowers on Cattleya trianaei are some of the longest lasting flowers and can bloom for at least 6 weeks. We often list these as being in spike when they are sheathing in late October through early December as it is far better to ship these with the buds down in the sheath. These typically flower around the Christmas season.
