Description
Long known under the name Diacrium bicornutum, this species is found north of the Amazon River of South America. In the wild, the hollow pseudobulbs are frequently home to stinging ants. This orchid can flower anywhere between January and June. The flowers have a wonderful citrus/vanilla fragrance and are approx. an inch and a half across. We have had luck growing these in both sphagnum moss and bark mixes. We grow them in warmer conditions similar to Phalaenopsis care.

Current plants in spike should flower by late February to mid March.
