Cycnoches Jean E. Monnier

Jean E. Monnier is a classic primary Cycnoches hybrid known for its symmetry and spots. This hybrid can range in color from copper to bronze/red tones. Cycnoches can flower male or female flowers. The male flowers are smaller, and cascade with a high flower count, whereas the female flowers are larger with a lower flower count. In most cases, the male flowers develop in lower light levels, while female flowers develop in higher light exposure. That being said, we have seen both sexes on the same plant! The flowers of this hybrid have a very sweet fragrance!

Note: Post blooming, Cycnoches will drop their foliage and become bare canes. At this stage, keep in lower light and do not fertilize. Water just enough to keep the canes from dehydration. They typically sprout new growths around March for the next cycle.
