Cymbidium Eastern Beauty 'Kagaribi' 篝火

A larger, section Jensoa hybrid with a pleasant fragrance inherited from its Cymbidium sinense parent. These are blooming-size plants, and most are currently in spike. However, we are not listing them as in-spike due to their recent import. Occasionally, spikes may abort during their adjustment. That said, they appear healthy and vigorous, and we expect most to develop fully and flower between December and January.

We have just imported these plants as of October 2025. Imported Cymbidium replace their entire root system, so it is recommended to water 'lightly' and not to saturate the potting medium until you see new roots at the side of the pot (which is why we used clear containers). Keeping them too wet at this stage can risk additional rot that can go to the bulbs. Typically, it will take 2 to 4 months for the new roots to emerge. We expect this batch to flower between the spring and summer of 2026.

As the example photo shows, once established, these are capable of producing multiple flower spikes. Note it is common for this variety to have some black markings on the foliage.
