We have yet to see this orchid bloom, but expect pendulous sprays of 20 to 50 red-orange spotted flowers about 2 inches in size. This hybrid is unique in its ability to grow in a wide range of temperatures thanks to its parentage! The hybrid parent of this cross, the medium-sized Cym. Gone West, has a complex lineage of 12 different species, with the most dominant influencing a preference for cool to intermediate temperatures. On the other hand, the species parent of this cross, Cym. canaliculatum, is a stiff-leaved orchid that prefers bright light and warm temperatures.
