Cymbidium erythraeum is a species native to East and South Asia, with fragrant flowers. This species is also an important contribution to Cymbidium breeding. This particular batch 'Red Lip', developed through the Mukoyama breeding line, is distinguished by its exceptionally deep crimson-red lip coloration, significantly darker and more intense than that found in most typical Cymbidium erythraeum forms. The flowers may vary slightly from the photo shown, but it is an accurate representation of what to expect!
It is mid to high in elevation, making this a cool to intermediate grower. Consistent warm temperatures can grow the plants, but they will have difficultly blooming without a cooler evening.
