Description
Note that this clone is marginally variegated at the tip of the foliage. This is a Japanese 'Waran' compact Cymbidum hybrid which uses sinense to keep the plant small, but with taller foliage than goeringii hybrids. In addition, it can flower two seasons, summer or winter! These plants are known for their upright stems, which do not need staking. The flowers of this hybrid have a sweet scent.
We have just imported these plants as of October 2025. Imported Cymbidium replace their entire root system, so it is recommended to water 'lightly' and not to saturate the potting medium until you see new roots at the side of the pot (which is why we used clear containers). Keeping them too wet at this stage can risk additional rot that can go to the bulbs. Typically, it will take 2 to 4 months for the new roots to emerge. We expect this batch to flower between the spring and summer of 2026.
