Dendrobium fuscifaucium

Dendrobium fuscifaucium is a newly described miniature orchid from Laos as of 2022. Prized for its tiny size and striking flowers featuring a rich brown to violet throat against pale petals. It grows as a small epiphyte with short, leaf-bearing canes that often bloom after the leaves shed. During the winter, water less often without fertilizer until new growth emerges in the spring. This also makes for a great slab-mounted plant in a terrarium.
