Description
A mini nobile-type species Dendrobium with a widespread distribution throughout Asia, which includes China, Western Himalayas, Nepal, eastern Himalayas, Assam, Myanmar, Vietnam, Korea, Ryukyus Islands and Taiwan.

Wakagimi has petals that hug the column, giving it a triangular shape.

They have a wonderful sweet fragrance and flower well after a cool/dry rest in the winter. However, intermediate/warm conditions can work and the plants will flower randomly throughout the year in smaller flower quantities.

These produce very sweet-fragranced flowers that are short lived with an average of 3 weeks blooming time. Cooler temperatures (50's to 60's) will hold the flowers a bit longer.

Dendrobium moniliforme are very versatile growers and can do well mounted on slabs or in containers with bark or sphagnum moss. They also grow well in the traditional moss mound with unglazed clay pots, which is typically how we offer them.

Actual plant in photo for sale. 28 active canes, with multiple inactive canes as well.
**Note! If you are ordering plants in late winter to early spring, you will typically notice more bare canes than new growths. This is normal as they put energy into flowering in the late winter and early spring, in which afterwards they produce new growths that will form leaves over the summer and fall months.**
