First described in 1897 and named for Queen Victoria, this orchid is native to the cool, mossy highlands of the Philippines. Mature plants produce striking blue-lavender to indigo flowers, heaviest from spring into early summer, and bloom best with cool temperatures, bright light, and good air movement. This species grows pendulously, loses its leaves in fall and winter, and flowers from older leafless canes that should be kept unless fully shriveled.
The current plant for sale is an individual listing for a specimen-sized plant from our collection! See the last photo for the actual plant listed.
