Yamamoto Dendrobiums are known for their colorful flowers and subtle fragrance.
Nobile Dendrobiums typically bloom from late winter into early spring. They are adaptable to cool through hot conditions, but require a cool, dry rest in winter with no fertilizer to properly initiate buds.
It’s important to note that these plants naturally shed their foliage during or shortly after flowering. Leaves will yellow and may develop dark spotting before dropping—this is completely normal. In spring, new growths will emerge and should mature by early winter in preparation for the next blooming season. Older, leafless canes can also rebloom from previously unflowered nodes.
For best results, grow Nobile Dendrobiums in bright light. When properly acclimated, they can even tolerate full sun. Strong light is key to producing healthy growth and abundant blooms the following season.
As plants mature and gain size, canes can become completely covered in flowers during the bloom season. While Nobile Dendrobiums bloom just once per year, the display is nothing short of spectacular and well worth the wait.
Current batch is in-spike and should have flowers starting to open by late-April
