(syn. Prosthechea mariae)
This fairly uncommon species from Mexico produces large 4-inch flowers that are stunning! Commonly known as Encyclia mariae, this species was reclassified, along with 100 other species, into the genus Prosthechea in 1998. A great compact grower, this species thrives in medium to bright light when watered as the potting mix dries out. This plant does well in pots with a medium-size bark mix or mounted on slabs.
