Fredclarkeara After Dark 'Sunset Valley Orchids' FCC/AOS

Very nice mature clones of the spotted chestnut red version of the awarded Fredclarkeara After Dark. Grown for several years. Magnificent flowers and fragrant! These plants are fairly easy to grow. Water and feed when new growth and roots appear at the base of the bulbs. Once the bulbs have matured in the fall keep your eyes open for the beginning of flower spikes at the base, then only apply water to the potting mix until the end of flowering. Sometime during flowering or shortly thereafter, the leaves will begin to turn brown and die back. This is normal. Keep the potting mix dry when all the leaves are gone. A little shriveling of the pseudobulbs is OK but if the bulbs begin to shrivel too much, apply water with no fertilizer every 3-4 weeks.
