Description
This large, fan-shaped Angraecoid is native to the Comoros Islands off the coast of Africa. The species name refers to the shape of the 3" flowers, which have a spidery character. This orchid's flowers appear by the dozen when blooming and are superbly fragrant day and night. This species also flowers for us twice per year in spring and fall. We recommend growing this species with at least 50% humidity. Our best 'Fernbrook ' clone has been carefully cultivated and periodically divided since the mid 1980's. These tremendous divisions have leaf spans of about 28 -30 inches inches. The second to last photo is the 3.25" pot size and the last photo is the 5" pot larger sized specimen. The photos of the plants for sale are current as of 3/29/24.
