Description

Divisions from a peloric, forward-petal anceps that was awarded with a CCE (for a big specimen display) December 2025.

A very hardy Mexican species that has been found in the wild as both an epiphyte and lithophyte. These plants are known for their temperature tolerance from cool to hot, and their high light tolerance, which can even be adapted to full sun. Bright east or south exposures are best when growing in a window. These plants love the outdoors from the summer to fall, and can be grown outside year-round in areas like Southern California and Florida.

These plants produce flower spikes in the summer, which often extend to 3 to 4 feet in length before flowering. When spiking, we prefer to offer them in early spike stage for an easier shipping transit time. The flowers tend to have a light vanilla scent.

This current batch should flower in late October.
