Laelia harpophylla

This species is native to Brazil and grows in humid semi shady areas in intermediate to warm temperatures. The slender pseudobulbs support a narrow blade-like leaf that produces brilliant star-shaped orange flowers that emerge from the upper intersection between the leaf and the pseudobulb. The flowers are about 2 inches plus in size. This plant can flower from Winter to Spring. Water as the potting mix just dries out.
