The brilliantly colored Masdevallia ignea is native to Colombia and likes cool to intermediate temperatures. These have incredible, hurt-your-eyes deep orange and fiery red flowers. These are spring-flowering plants typically blooming in March or April. The flowers last about 6-8 weeks. We offer select divisions from plants originally collected many years ago.
*Leaf disclaimer. These plants easily get black spots on their older foliage. Sometimes on the surface, but usually on the undersides. They have been tested ORSV and CymMV virus-free.
