A miniature slipper species native species to Mexico, discovered in Oaxaca.
These plants are divisions from our collection plants, which are either from divisions of the original plants ('Oaxaca' clone) collected and later housed at the Missouri Botanical Garden—then distributed to growers for further propagation or from select clones we have grown from seed.
We find they perform best in shallow pots or compot trays, and they will be shipped in the clear trays shown in the photos. Plants are priced based on the number of growths, flower quality, and whether the original plant was collected in Mexico.
In their natural habitat, these plants grow on limestone, so incorporating dolomite limestone into the mix is beneficial.
Current listing in spike is expected to flower in May to June.
