A beautiful pink species native to the Antioquia, Risaralda, and Valle del Cauca regions of Colombia, as well as northern Ecuador. This cloud forest species prefers high humidity, consistent root moisture, and intermediate to cool temperatures to perform at its best. Once fairly common in cultivation, it has become increasingly scarce and is now only rarely available.
Choose from the standard form or var. leucoglossa, which displays white coloration in the petals and along the edges of the lip.
As of 6/13, these plants are carrying a mix of buds and open flowers and are expected to remain in bloom through July.
Note: This species commonly develops accordion-like foliage with creased or pleated leaves. This is a normal characteristic and does not affect the plant's growth, health, or flowering performance.
