Neofinetia falcata 'Ononokomachi' 小野小町

'Ononokomachi' is the name of a famous Japanese female poet who lived from 825 to 900AD. She was known not only for her great poetry, but also her beauty. This variety is rare in that it can only be produced via hand division, or clone as there is no pollen or stigma for fertilization.

The unique characteristic of this plant is that it produces flower spikes with ovaries and buds which never blossom, as pictured!
