Nepenthes rafflesiana var. gigantea

This plant is found growing in poor soils, generally in heath forests of Borneo and peninsular Malaysia. Grow in warm temperatures with good humidity (50-70% or higher). Large ground pitchers are wide at the base (8-10 cm) and 20-25 cm long. There are two-toothed wings widely spread on the front of the pitcher. The peristome is slightly rounded and under the lid shows several teeth hanging down. They are colored in a light yellowish green overlay with dark mahogany . Easy growing, from tissue culture.
