Nishiki Bachi - Neofinetia Pot - Wave Pattern Unglazed

This is a Nishiki Bachi (also referred to as Raku Hachi) from the Aichi prefecture in Japan. Aichi produces the most Neofinetia pots in Japan, and offers the most variety of artwork. These pots are made out of very porous clay and breath well with a large drain hole opening on the bottom of the pot. The pot pictured is the actual pot for sale. Since each pot is hand made, the size of the pot and art work is slightly variable from pot to pot. Nishiki Bachi means raised paint on a pot. Raku Hachi means fun/enjoyable pots.
