Description
The predominantly yellow form of Wildcat. 'Yellow King' will produce 30"+ tall, sturdy branching stems with many flowers. Sometimes it can reach up to 4 feet tall, as in the example photo!
It takes time for the spike to develop fully, but once it does there will be multiple branches to form a conifer-like tree appearance of flowers!
We grow these in NZ sphagnum moss as they are very thirsty plants.
Your choice of 6" plastic pots with one spike or premium plus-sized specimen plants, which range from 4 to 6 spikes. These are two plants put in one 7.5" container with decorative moss on top. Just imagine how many flowers there will be by looking at the single-branching spike photo.
The current batch is close to budding, and we expect flowers to open by the end of November.
**Please note: This hybrid often has little ‘dings’ or holes in some of the foliage, and seems to be a genetic trait. They also tend to develop small black spots on the foliage, which is also genetic and normal for this variety.
