Paph. moquettianum

A fantastic species from southwest java that is found growing on limestone cliffs in shady conditions. This is from section Cochlopetalum, which is a series of species that repeatedly flower on the same spike several times over, often up to a year or more! Paph. moquettianum is also special in that it is the largest flower of all the Cochlopetalum species. In addition, this particular batch of 'Mochi' x self is very unique as the parent plant was purchased from a collector in Japan, and has the largest flowers ever recorded at 12 cm across!
