Paph. rothschildianum - New Generation Crosses

This species from Borneo is deemed the 'King of Paphs' due to its majestic appearance and wide-spread petals. It comes from Borneo and does best in intermediate to warm environments.

Here is an opportunity to purchase established and in-spike plants which all descend from Tokyo Orchid and Orchid Inn breeding, using many awarded parents of the best new-generation rothschildianum along with the classic and still proven 'Mont Millais'.

It has also been proven that there is a huge range in flower type with rothschildianum, no matter which combination of parents are used. The can be a range of the thickness of the stripes, the width of the petals, and the amount of red or white coloration throughout the flower. It is also worth noting that these are first-time bloom plants, and the true quality of the flower shape and size is best seen on the 2nd or 3rd season of flowers. Whatever yours turns out to be should only improve on next year's flowering.

All plants offered are currently potted in pine bark mix, and should not need repotting until the summer of 2025 or 2026.
