Phal. Germaine Vincent - ('violacea 'Sumatran Red' x speciosa 'C1')

This is a relatively new primary cross between Phal. violacea and Phal. speciosa. Never cut the flower spikes unless they are crispy brown. The flower spikes can flower year after year. Sometimes in the winter with shorter days the flower spikes may stop flowering for a bit until the daylight lengthens. These typically flower from spring to fall but with artificial light they can flower year round. It is common for the leaves to have a slight yellow tinge.

Actual plant for sale in photo. Plant has two active flower spikes that are lightly fragrant. Flowers are a light magenta/purple with a subtle cream-like color towards the tips.
