This plant was originally imported from Brazil in the early 1970's both to the USA and Germany. We found a description in a French book Les Orchidees of this species coming from Roraima, an area still greatly unexplored in Brazil. Some taxonomists believe this is a natural hybrid of lindleyanum/sargentianum x vittatum. It has proved to be a very good plant to hybridize with as well.
We are offering blooming size divisions from our collection. The last photo represents the size of the plants, which are single growth often with one previously bloomed growth.
