Description
This species is native to Chiapas, Mexico and is still quite rare in cultivation. It is an unusual species, closely related to Phrag. popowii (syn caudatum var. warscewiczianum), this species lacks a staminodal shield. This species self pollinates, unlike Phrag. popowii. We have 2 genetic lines that we are offering. The picture shows our clone 'Extraordinary'. Nice seedlings with good vigor. These plants have the largest flowers of the long-petaled group. We have seen flowers with 37-inch petals!
