Phrag. Ruby Throat 'Ruby Ribbon' x popowii

We are very excited about this backcross to popowii (syn. humboldtii) as a step toward creating intensely colored, long-petaled Phragmipedium hybrids. The grex Ruby Throat came close to that goal, and by crossing it back to popowii, we hope to produce flowers with petal lengths exceeding 12 inches.

A limited number of seedlings are available. We expect these plants to reach blooming size in 2028.
