Repotting Orchids: A Hands-On Workshop
Here’s your chance to master the art of orchid repotting, or at least get a strong start! Join us for an engaging, hands-on class led by orchid expert Jason Fischer.
We’ll guide you through the why, when, and how of repotting, including:
- Choosing the right pot and potting medium
- Pruning roots and leaves (what to cut and what to keep)
- Repotting techniques based on orchid type
- Timing your repotting for best results
You’ll get direct experience potting orchids in either moss or bark mixes.
From your instructor, Jason Fischer:
“I’ve been repotting orchids since I was five years old, and I have a trick or two to teach you. My goal is to take away the fear of repotting and give you a solid foundation so you can confidently care for your plants.”
All materials, including gloves, will be provided. You may want to bring an apron as repotting can get messy!
Want to bring your own orchids to repot? Feel free to bring up to 3 plants for this day, and we can assist! Please note there is an extra fee for materials for your own repotting, which includes the bark/moss and pot. The price ranges from $7 to $20, based on the size of the container.
Class attendees also receive 10% off shopping in store!
