If you are a fan of Sedirea japonica, this is a new and unique foliage pattern for you! This mutation has decussate foliage, where opposite pairs of leaves alternate at 90-degree angles along the stem, forming a crosslike pattern when viewed from above. Not all are perfectly 90-degrees, but overall, it seems to be this way.
We have two types from this batch. Plants with decussate foliage, and plants from the same batch that are not showing this foliage pattern. The ones not showing the pattern are being offered as 'maybe Rasenmaru', as it may be possible over time they develop the same pattern. So far, these plants look like they will stay compact, similar to 'Minmaru'. Flower type is unknown.
